The room: bel&bel Creative Studio

The creative Studio bel&bel is a studio-workshop opened in 2006. Our studio is located in Viladecans (Barcelona). It is a seventeenth century country estate house which, after a thorough process of rehabilitation, became our creative space where developing our creations.

Our Studio is an open space divided into three different areas. The first area includes part of the studio and show room which combines the work of graphic design and clients reception. The second area is actually part of the workshop where the majority of the projected pieces are created. These two major areas are divided by sliding glass doors that hint at the activities in another area. The third area corresponds to the area of self-adhesive vinyl signs workshop located in an Annex.

Carles Bel& Jesús Bel: the bel&bel artists

We are young, creative and contemporary artists. We appreciate the Art surrounding us, we live it and we adapt it.

For us, there are other ways of approaching Art to the public apart from Museums and galleries. From this intention we decided to create an open art space.

From the opening of our space, we have tried to open our as a meeting point for other artists, film makers, musicians, etc with the aim of finding a common ground to set up and share projects.

The germ of the idea of working with our garbage comes from a primarily ecological idea: the recycling. We are surrounded by “useless” objects falling into disuse, everyone seems to melt what no longer is wanted even when it is not damaged. And we observed from the large amount of waste and innutilitzats objects that surround us, we decided to reuse what may seem useless and give a new life, most artistic and durable.

We started readapting old objects into functional pieces and, increasingly, we began to care up for the last detail of the final design. Nowadays, we create exclusive pieces and try to be innovative and cared for our creations. We believe in making you discover some new detail every time you look at our creations.

We admire the brilliant design of classical vehicles as the legendary Vespa Scooter or our beloved SEAT 600. From that admiration we began to work with these old pieces in order to give validity to its great style.
