Sculpture and Painting

The sculpture and painting are two disciplines with an important presence in our creative spectrum.

The influence of our university background, BAH(ons) in Fine Arts, was decisive for our future creations. Since we began University Studies in Barcelona we started sharing interests and projects. As a result, we finished our studies specializing in Painting and Sculpture. As a creative team born at University we have continued working together, since those school days up today in our own Studio. Good understanding of our team is reflected in our creations.

Cristal-Glass Works

This is a distinctive technique from bel&bel. It is based in the painting of the rear of a glass sheet. During the process various techniques are used as collage and sgraffito.

Stylistically, our team has developed their own style based on layers and scratches, similar to the Computer Editing. The typography and the schematic images are those that give a reason to the works.

We also conjugated this technique with Plotter Cuttingh and Vinyl Signs. This combination has allowed us to work within the Advertising field. Thus, we can decorate shop signs, window shops, pubs, etc. Another sample of our goal of approaching Art to day-to-day life.

Bronzes

Pieces made in bronze at the Sculpture workshop of the Faculty of Fine Arts.

During these sessions we worked with old techniques of wax, silicone and plaster casts, patinas, etcetera, needed to work with bronze sculpture.

Abstract piece made with wood and steel.

Elephant

Metal sheet cut into a curved piece simulating an elephant head.

Special rust efect painting.

Hermeneutics Capsule

The capsule is a piece created for artistic installations where the viewer can interact with creations. It is a capsule mesured to accommodate a legs' bended sitting person. The person enters the Capsule for reflection or meditation.

The project was developed following 3D computer graphics design and ergonomic measures.

An escale Capsule was made in wood, fiberglass and polyester resin.
