SEAT 600 Sofa: The Story
Our admiration for old vehicles was clear already. And it was from this admiration that we decided to look for a SEAT 600 and turn it into a sofa! This idea was rounding our head for a while and, after having such a succes with the Vespa Seat, we decided to perform this furniture piece.
The beginning of the project came to us by chance thanks to a SEAT 600 fan that we met on line. He was also the organizer for the annual SEAT 600 meeting in our country; an enthusiastic of the car and its design and he lived round the corner from our Creative Studio! He really liked our idea of trying to turn the car into a piece of furniture. Our aim: to keep alive this great car contemporary design. And we had an old SEAT 600 to work with, courtesy of this great fan.
Different producers got in contact with us while the piece was still in process. There were people we were been having contact already since we started developing the our previous project the Vespa Seat. And they became interested in our new design too.

The Head of atrezzo from El Terrat Produccions, a wellknown Spanish Producer, contacted us with the desire of having our new Sofa as a decoration for his 600 TV program celebration. We were absolutely happy to say yes. In this lateshow of the Spanish television channel “La Sexta” was ,also,were we show our Vespa Seat for the first time and it was a succesful experience! Our Sofa had an important role in the course of the program that made it popular among the public.
El Terrat
Buenafuente TV program was happy with our collaboration: we were greeted by a SEAT 600 cut in half which was used as props in the celebration of program 300. Having these “two parts” customized we decided to use these "halves" to create decoration sets.
One of these "halves" is decorating the main entrance of our Art Studio!
